I found a blind senior dog yesterday in the hills between Riverside and Moreno Valley. He seemed pretty ill and animal control had me take him to the emergency vet in Grand Terrace. (I've also posted him on other sites.)

Poor little thing was so bony and had all kinds of crud matted to her underside, but was incredibly cuddly and trusting.

I'd been wanting a second cat for years, but I was worried Mira wouldn't take well to a newcomer. Looked at shelters but never pulled the trigger.

Well manifestation must be real because early one morning in December, this little thing showed up on my porch screaming her head off.

Mirepoix (also known as Mira, Terrorpaw, and Our Little Monster) was a pandemic kitten, gotten from a Craigslist post when she was barely 4 weeks old in April 2020. She's grown up to be a very particular cat, agitated by any change to her norm.
