The status quo of America being right wing conservative, warmongering, semi-fascist, gun toting, violent, a bully that murders the innocent the world over etc. That status quo being maintained is why Trump coming to power is so bad. Imagine someone worse than that, and that's him.

Extremism is on the rise in every country but they don't have the power to do half as much damage, the countries aren't half as close to extremism already as America has been since forever, and these people won't be elected as easily because we're not two party kleptocracies.
