As someone who has worked in many authoritarian states, I would put fraudulent elections 1 on this list. I know it’s not in any order, but it’s important people know that if you can’t rig the game to stay in power, you can’t do the rest of checklist. Pay close attention to 2026 midterms and 2028.

I would gladly pay 40% in taxes if I didn’t have to worry about medical costs, college costs, etc. What people don’t get is that we already pay close if not over that if you add up federal, state, local taxes plus health insurance premiums and college costs (plus some other things I’m forgetting).
