I think the only way the world gets better is if newer generations can form those connections and skills that millenials had the perfect balance of. It's almost like a duty I think unless we want to the world to crumble.

Just lament over how many younger folks will never get to experience the joy of film by being driven away from the price. Again, this was always the case and deals can still be had now but it's just crazy with how the prices are going.

With commodification, resellers are buying cameras from any place and selling them at crazy prices. The average point and shoot is like $150 now when I know they could be had for less than $50 a few years ago. This seems wrong. Yes yes, market prices etc. But now, the bar to entry is so high

It was always something that was an expensive hobby compared to most due to the cost of dev and scan but I feel like most could still make it work. But now, it seems like such a commodity. 2/n

One thing I think should be more widespread in awareness is the idea that *consumption at what cost*. Consumption, especially in the western world, is at the cost of someone else's suffering and exploitation 99% of the time.
