We have older people in our family who struggle with this too. Even something like booking theatre tickets becomes a whole ordeal because they can’t just ring up and book them like they used to. Of course, we don’t mind helping, but it’s strips them of their independence

If you’re up for advice - try and do something each day that lets you feel a little less down even for a second. It helps me (cos friend I feel you) even something tiny like having your favourite drink

If you don’t want advice - all the love coming your way. I hope it trends back up soon <3

Accessibility options should also include *in game* key/bottom mapping/rendering. It infuriates me that The Sims 4 doesn’t allow you to change any of the buttons in game. It makes it hard to play with one hand or swap to controller/adapted controllers.

As a writer married to an illustrator - they’re definately not one better than the other. The craft of both is challenging and rewarding. I completely agree that writing (wrongly) has a elitism element though and illustration is seen as silly little pictures. Society has royally messed it up

Oh definitely not just your brain!! Although I did think it was just me so maybe it’s the two of us. But that’s still better than me just losing it myself x

oh I do this all the time. Like replay it over and over in my head

Excuse me while I have a breakdown because I feel like a bad person when I know *logically* this is the only option to keep myself and my wife safe. Shout out to my sister and Ouma who have been legends and, although they still talk to them a little, have supported me anyway

No not at all! I just know that with such short form content it’s hard to get everything in, so sometimes it’s helpful to ask for more info. Thanks!

This makes much more sense thank you!

Riiiight yes I’m with you! Thanks so much for explaining!

Oh 100% I agree to believe them. I do think there are some criteria that those groups have but I wouldn’t say it’s hard and fast. I suppose my concern is people not actually knowing what autism is and then using it incorrectly and harmfully but that would happen regardless

Also acknowledging that a whole chunk of people can’t access diagnosis
November 9, 2025 at 2:51 AM
Ohhhh yes okay. So to be autistic (culture) do you still have to have relevant traits? Of course, the paper may answer this and I’m gonna bookmark it too.

And sure if someone gets it wrong but if the support helps it was still worth the discovery sort of thing?
