MLS Roster Rule nerd. GAM aficionado.
If MLS does switch schedules and some teams don't want to play when it's cold, well, do I have an expansion market for you...

This is a list of some WoSo people and people that Jessica Berman is excited she gets to hang out with.

Small on the list of problems at SeatGeek, but there's a pigeon roosting in the press box.

Update: Looks like corners are filling in and the team has put more seats in the 200s – usually the last to move – for sale.

Kévin Denkey says on the broadcast that the "most important thing is this goal gave us the three points."

Oh, Kévin. You've got so much to learn.

Current available seats at SeatGeek for this Saturday.

Some tix may not be for sale yet, but still looks like it'll be a full house, esp. after tonight's strong performance on the road.

If you're thinking about going, I'd say don't wait to pull the trigger

Genuinely, THANK YOU to everyone who listened in or was there with us at 2nd Star Tavern, and special thanks to the Fire for having us.

Great energy, despite the eventual result.

Hope to see everyone at SeatGeek on Saturday!

The Chicago Fire's Philip Zinckernagel is 1 of 3 finalists for MLS Newcomer of the Year after breaking the team's single-season goal contrib record

SD's Anders Dreyer and LAFC's Son Heung-Min are the other candidates – not bad company for Zinck.

For anyone on the fence about going to see the Chicago Fire take on Orlando City tonight, looks like it'll be a pretty full house at SeatGeek.

Should be a good atmosphere for the game, despite the fall weather

For comparison - here's the available seats for Argentina v Venezuela tomorrow @ Hard Rock. Unclear if upper bowl were ever for sale.

Also looks like sales have been bad; this one likely can't move to smaller venue b/c Inter Miami using Chase Stadium the next day
October 10, 2025 at 12:26 AM
1 more on this: These seats were available for sale as of 1PM CT today.

Is it possible no one bought tix b/c of immigration/protest concerns? Sure, but tix went on sale a month ago.

Fire had a crowd of 24,653 at the venue on Saturday.
October 8, 2025 at 8:38 PM
Also think this is important w/reporting out there that "immigration crackdown & protests" caused event to move - These were for-sale seats as of 1PM CT today and I'm being told commercial concerns drove the move.
October 8, 2025 at 8:31 PM
Mailbox: Event promoters say that the friendly between Argentina and Puerto Rico for Oct 13 has been moved to Ft. Lauderdale for 10/14

No notice on socials or website from promoters or AFA.

Tickets remain on sale at pretty astronomical prices on Ticketmaster's website

In other words, he's not doing nearly as much of the passes like this from André Franco (as posted by @mattdoyle.bsky.social elsewhere).

He's had.... a couple? He's not *not* doing it. But he's not doing it consistently enough to change games & that has been the issue.
September 30, 2025 at 2:03 AM
Stats are the start of an an inquiry not the end.

~1/2 of Guti's g+ rating comes from passing. And he's a *good* progressive passer. But he isn't a particularly *dangerous* one. Too often, he gets the ball near dangerous areas, but not actually *into* them.

"Danger-esque" but not "dangerous"

Elliott would get forward in moments, but Rogers was higher up the pitch on a more consistent basis, even if he didn't have those driving-towards-goal plays or passes into the box.

Pass map bears that out
