Working in climate. Community Energy director in spare time. Eco-worrier. Ex-Red Cross Afghanistan, Palestine, etc.
Proud to be involved in of one of London's senior community energy co-ops, where solar panels generate an income that is reinvested back in the local area not, to distant shareholders.

This week, members voted to allocate £000s to support local projects. A better energy system is possible!

Seems to be working extremely well in Ealing!

Do the fossil companies believe they can bin the energy transition as a passing fad?

Today's fight excellently represents the battle of short term vs long term thinking.

These dealers peddling fossil fuels are steering us into the most appalling hangover in civilisation. Sober up!!

On track for 2.7°C+ of warming, the lack of action by nations led me to wonder how I could selfishly prepare. (Honestly, why does it feel like it's just me who's read the scenarios??)

Then, I saw this from a London municipality. It's PERFECT. Becoming a "prepper" just won't do.

Provocative assertion here that climate movement's framing of 'common humanity' is exactly the reason climate action has been too slow.

There is no common humanity, says Erik Swyngedouw in this book (free online), so inevitably it fails to mobilise people.
