Today, we fined Apple €500 million & Meta €200 million for breaching the Digital Markets Act.

Apple restricts developers from steering consumers to offers outside the App store.

Meta doesn't let users choose a service that uses less personal data.

These are the first DMA fines.

Today, we take additional investigatory measures in the ongoing DSA proceedings against X.

X has the obligation to

- send internal documents on algorithm changes
- retain all data on such changes
- provide access to commercial APIs.

The ec.europa.eu will now carefully assess these replies.
