Just to add a stat to this (which you may be aware of), Carrick is the second longest serving manager in the championship. The turnover for managers in the last couple seasons has been immense, I would understand if Gibson felt the need to change.

Don't think that's exactly the case. It's not as if you hit the midlands and suddenly everyone voted remain.

I have no idea how we can improve our defensive game, on paper we have good defenders. We seemingly only have one way to challenge teams and the risk/reward ratio just isn't coming off for us.
