As we celebrate America turning 250 years old, we must not forget the significant contributions of Black service members who bravely defended our country and never wavered in devotion to America and liberty and justice for all.
It was an honor to celebrate with my neighbors at the City of Tampa's Black History Month event.

With a focus on Tampa Bay area veterans, our country is better because of the honoree's service.
