Good question. NAR doesn’t break out private vs corporate buyers, but third-party estimates suggest investors account for roughly 20–30% of recent home purchases. That includes both institutional buyers and smaller “mom and pop” landlords, so it’s a mix vs. purely corporate activity. #econsky

You’re 100% right. My reference to the shutdown was more about context than causation (tough to explain with limited space). With many federal reports paused, the NAR Existing Home Sales release is one of the few real-time indicators still being published.
