Fun fact: the US Government spends over twice the amount on Erectile Dysfunction as it does on gender affirming care...

... Over 4 years the DOD spent $8 million on gender affirming care while spending over $80 million on ED annually.

Besides "Black"... What does ICE think Somali Americans look like? Are they really going to think "That person looks more Wolof or Fulami than Cushitic"
Osman: "President Trump singling out one group of people & ICE being on our streets & asking people for documentation, it feels like we're in 1930s Germany. I never thought there would be a time where I will tell my community to carry their passport around bc if you look Somali you might be stopped"

Really looks like the United States is about to launch a regime change war against Venezuela with:

-No casus belli
-No authorization from Congress
-No allies or international support
-No plan for a post-Maduro Venezuela
-No preparation for any sort of stabilization or containment of the fallout

This is already what is happening effectively... except for the "trillions".... people get a subsidy (money) that is used for insurance.
Trump: "We want a healthcare system where we pay the money to the people instead of the insurance companies. We're gonna be working on that very hard over the next short period of time. Where the people get the money. We're talking about trillions and trillions of dollars."

He's right... that is why they are working so hard to gerrymander 2026. If Trumplicans have the Congressional votes in 2028 they will prevent any outcome that doesn't keep Trump in power.
Wake up, America, or I fear we may not have elections in 2028.

Republicans triggered "nuclear option" to change the rules of the Senate on a party-line basis.
The vote was 53-45 to establish a new rule that allows the Senate to confirm an unlimited number of nominees en bloc, rather than process each one individually.
Senate Republicans trigger 'nuclear option,' changing rules to speed up Trump nominees
The new rule, established by the GOP on party lines, will enable them to confirm Trump nominees in groups, rather than individually. It's the latest move to erode minority powers.

This formulation is popular: contrasting SCOTUS' intolerance of race as an admissions factor with SCOTUS' tolerance of race as a detention factor. There are, in fact, doctrinal, historical, and logical distinctions between the positions, that one could use to dismiss this comparison.

But...
/1
"Harvard can't use race as a factor in admissions, but ICE can use race as a factor in detentions" is a retrenchment essentially to a pre-Civil War understanding of the Constitution. It's vanishingly few steps removed from "Latinos have no rights which the white man is bound to respect."
