Looking ahead, our aim is to use these priorities to shape policy, advance research both in the UK and internationally, and provide resources to tackle the questions identified by the stammering community.

Last November, we convened volunteers from diverse backgrounds, including SLTs, parents, and friends of people who stammer, to narrow down the top 10 research questions with the greatest potential impact.

Witnessing the project's evolution—from our initial meetings to distributing the public questionnaire, which gathered over 385 potential research questions from individuals across the UK—has been incredible.

As a member of the Steering Committee, it was a privilege to work with CEOs, Professionals, Clinical & Educational Representatives from the Uni of Oxford, UCL, & members of the Youth Panel. Together, we identified unanswered questions about stammering from patient, carer, & clinical perspectives.
