I understand some of the residents' concerns around potential damage to their houses. They won an increased damages fund. But they've been quite disingenuous about their motives (perhaps also TFI) - it's mostly to do with potential for a Luas Green Line upgrade, which clearly needs to happen.

There’s been a tension between figurative and non-figurative modernism among Irish artists of the time. Keatinge was modernist, but in Courbet mould. Hone went further into abstraction before Scott, but never broke fully. Swanzy’s surrealism seemed to make good sense of this tension, I think.

If more shops are converted to homes, what happens towns’ and villages’ lives? What guardrails will be put in place to safeguard ‘the main street’ as the economic, social and cultural vitality of towns and villages across Ireland?

Loads of parking in the next door carpark where the old station was. Why not use this? The Gardai really have an issue using their underground parking in this station.
