The rack choices can also nullify any attempts to make your bike a less suitable target. A rack cemented in place that you lock your stand to instead of your wheels to is the bare minimum. It should also be out in the open, lit, and ideally under a camera. Many establishments fail here.

Thanks Jim. I like Project 529 since the registration stickers act as a deterrent. It is also handy to look up a serial # to know if a used bike was stolen before purchasing.

Security skewers are great too since rear wheels and saddles are easy targets.
