Just & sustainable peace - for Ukraine that means territorial integrity, ironclad security guarantees, & justice for all russian war crimes. A sham peace, that works in russia’s favour, will almost certainly result in a continuation of russia’s war.

Crimea wasn’t enough. Donetsk and Luhansk weren’t enough. Why should we assume Kherson would be enough? Or that Ukraine would even be enough? Putin will only stop when he is stopped.

As friends of Ukraine we must do everything in our power to improve Ukraine’s negotiating strength & to eliminate the need for concessions. These are concessions we don’t have the right to propose. 80 years on, we’d do well to learn the lessons of WWII.

Since the beginning of the year you’ve maybe felt the same - worried what 2025 holds for Ukraine.
When you’re doom scrolling, you feel the world is slowly falling apart. It’s everything that russia wants you to feel - helplessness, hopelessness, and a sense of disunity between friends and allies.

We will always remember these brave heroes.
