For #fossilfriday a caudal (neck) vertebra from the mosasaurine mosasaurid Clidastes (meaning "One who locks up" referencing the bony processes on the vertebra that interlock to stiffen the back of the animal to increase swimming efficiency).

#Fossilfriday A limestone fragment with multiple leaves from the tree-sized Pteridosperm (seed fern) Glossopteris browniana (“Tongue Wing”). This fossil came from the Early Permian (275 mya) Glossopteris Beds of the Blackwater Formation of Dunedoo, New South Wales, Australia.

For #Fossilfriday, a large anterior (front of the mouth) tooth from the aulopiform teleost fish Enchodus libycus. This came from the Late Cretaceous Phosphate Beds of the Ouled Abdoun Basin in Morocco.

For #fossilfriday a well preserved maxillary tooth from the giant allosauroid theropod dinosaur Carcharodontosaurus saharicus (meaning "Shark Toothed Lizard from the Sahara"). This was found in sandstone river deposits in the Late Cretaceous Kem Kem Group of South-East Morocco.

For #fossilfriday , I wanted to start a new thing where I share one fossil from my personal collection each week. First up is a molar from the Miocene age elephant relative Prodeinotherium bavaricum. This comes from the Gračanica coal mine in Bosnia-Herzegovina.
