Why would a QB annoy? It's the one position you can't overthink - unless you have a franchise qb (which the Hawks haven't for a few years), you take yours shots until you hit

And this isn't even about esoteric concepts of deeper "meanings" - without *intent* you can never understand what makes for good writing, and only produce mediocre and oftrj crude writing.

Absolutely love smart solutions like this. I think a lot of recent releases have shown you can still get a lot of the same emotional impact, and not risk losing players, as long as you're consistent and deliberate, even when varying between VO and non-VOd

I will say this - staying the course was a higher-floor play for Schneider. Field an 8-10 win team with no playoff win. Better odds for job security. I gotta admire the willingness to make higher-variance bets given his job stability is probably not at its peak.

See now on this part we're back in total alignment. Very concerning to not see a more aggressive approach on OL free agency - wasn't that supposed to be the whole point?

That's fair. Though I hesitate to name a year where moving on from a good QB is ever without risk, even when said QB can really only decline from here. Was not too dissimilar with Russ. I'm willing to wait it out and see where the chips lands, anyhow - I'd be fine with Darnolf on a flexible contract

(A significant guaranteed $$ commitment to Darnold or signing Rodgers for any amount of time I would agree would be a poor move but that's only theoretical right now)

Geno is a very solid QB who played well. He was also trending down, is 34 years old, and had one real year left on his contract. I have to be honest Jacson, I'm failing to grasp how either retaining or letting him go would be an impactful move for the midterm future?
