Moon taken with #Seestar #S50 and Baader Neodymium filter. Planets and Moon are not the specialty of such a small telescopes but it’s a great bonus.

Supernova in NGC 2523 Full moon and clear sky for a few hours. The light had been travelling for 160 million years, which I think is my record distance to date as far as individual stars are concerned.

NGC2146 Supernova
Magnitude 17.5 Difficult conditions, lots of clouds, but a great result for a small telescope. It is always fascinating to observe a changing universe over such distances and periods of time. #Seestar #S50

In 2024 enormous amounts of sun spots were visible. The 11 year cycle reached its peak and the last cycles were disappointing. The best show in decades.

IC443 Jellyfish Nebula, ZWO #Seestar #S50.
1,100 fits stacked with Siril, Graxpert, PS Express
Two overlapping images, which were then processed together in Siril. Due to the rotation of the earth in 7 hours everything was well covered.

Sehr traurig.

The richest man in the world buys a social network, radicalises himself and begins to attack governments that don't fit his world view. I used to admire him for his achievements, but this is unlikely to end well.
Very sad.
