He is jealous of King Charles.

Also, Americans should notice a change in the Presidents attire. He now wears mainly purple ties and not his signature red. Purple is regal, king like colour's.

The Saudis poured on the purple too.

I think its now becoming clearer why Phil Verster left. His strength was running a railway not building one. That and Metrolinx has a deep culture of "this is how WE do it" its not surprising.

"John, how about I get you that condo in Dubai you always wanted, and some spending money for the kids"

"Mr. Trumps transaction is purely military and we would be foolish not to accept it."

Scrutiny indeed.

This tarrif strategy was tried in 1921 and 1930.

Good explainer here for why tarrifs help make the forgotten Depression of 1920 and the Great Depression worse and partially caused them.

Why not then.eliminate the referees. Nothing that Landru couldn't help us with.

Elon probably showed them how to use Signal and said this is way more secure than your high side email and phone. The fact that so many administration leaders where on the chat shows a coordinated use of Signal to avoid record retention laws while trying to be secure.

Their "tech support" failed.

Howard the Duck is going to be in trouble with his boss. Rumor has it 47 is tiring of his appearances that get out ahead of him, or are contradictory to what is actually going to happen.

Whike Howies mom wouldn't call, 1M others would. Let the cheques stop. Best way to run out the GOP in 2026.

Bukele took over El Salvador. Same as Trump is doing in the US. Bukele used the Constitution to allow him to replace the courts and the courts endorsed him. People wanted him as he provided relief from gangs and moved forward populist ideas.

This is not 1965! Manufacturing moved due to labor costs. Today work is shifting from China to Africa since manual labour is cheaper there.

A new toothbrush factory will have 10 people, not 500. The machines do the work. If it did employ 500 people toothbrushes would be 5$ not 5 ea cents to make.

That's what I said lol I was using the Trudeau fact to make a point. Just because someone posts some data and realities does not make them a Trump supporter. The reality is we are still allies with the US. Canada's measures are designed to inflict as little pain as possible on the average American.
March 11, 2025 at 4:06 PM
We already do. It's complicated as Mexico is more dependent on the US than Canada. Mexico makes more consumer goods and cars than Canada too.

Finished goods is the question. Last time if it had foreign steel, tariff was applied. This affects Canadian specialty makers, aka hvac, radiators, etc.
March 11, 2025 at 3:35 PM
The effects of the last steel and aluminum tariffs caused an additional 1.5% inflation in the US with tariffs at 15%. So expect inflation to rise at least 5% in the US assuming 2% GDP growth.
March 11, 2025 at 3:18 PM
Your going to struggle since your President insists on acting like its 1925. This same behavior triggered the Great Depression. Unregulated stock market run up combined with steep tariffs crushed the economy. Same is happening here.

Not a Trump supporter. Not sure how you get that.
March 11, 2025 at 3:12 PM
Not a Trumper lol Trying to be more transparent than some of the stories you here as a sound bite.

30% of Americans believe Trudeau started the trade war. Enough said.
March 11, 2025 at 3:06 PM
BTW for my American friends, the 25% electricity cost increase is a nothing burger. Ontario produces too much power due to nuclear not having off ramp capacity.

The US states get electricity for free at negative rates. 0 at 25% is still 0. Shutting it off only affects backup and surge capability.
March 11, 2025 at 2:47 PM
Can someone educate 47 and Howie?

The US imports 40% of its aluminum from Canada, because of electricity costs and supply issues. The US cannot smelt aluminum on its own.

Steel is spot market. 50% tariff just raises prices 50%.

The reason is capitalism. All this is doing is raising inflation.

The Democrats keep acting as the party of failure. Why? They insist on playing victim. Kamala lost. Get over it. Now you have to find the way to be the party of opposition and obstruction.

You need to hold Republicans to what goes around comes around. Yelling at clouds needs to stop.
March 11, 2025 at 3:10 AM
The Democrats need to do whatever Mitch McConnell would do in the same situation.

No one will remember a 2 week government shutdown that ultimately harms DOGE.

They will remember the lost year of the stock market, more expensive cost of living, and no deep government agents to blame.

They are avenging the 2017 Lost Year, where Republicans in Congress failed to pass any of Trumps initiatives.

Expect more harder before September.

Don't be surprised if Greenland is invaded. Expect unitary executive theory to play a key role. Less Congress involvement.

Expect Elon, everywhere.

7/Generally speaking the younger you are the more.liberal the view. Older with more resource/money at stake are typically conservative. Big vs little goat essentially.

Gen Alpha is turning this on its head. Need to find a way to engage young men in community so they do not feel alone.

6/Try surviving pre 1900 in any small town with no electricity or running water. Everyone helps everybody. It's the base of community and civil service.

The masculine fight behavior coupled with loneliness is going to make the generational gap worse.
