I think its now becoming clearer why Phil Verster left. His strength was running a railway not building one. That and Metrolinx has a deep culture of "this is how WE do it" its not surprising.

That's what I said lol I was using the Trudeau fact to make a point. Just because someone posts some data and realities does not make them a Trump supporter. The reality is we are still allies with the US. Canada's measures are designed to inflict as little pain as possible on the average American.

We already do. It's complicated as Mexico is more dependent on the US than Canada. Mexico makes more consumer goods and cars than Canada too.

The effects of the last steel and aluminum tariffs caused an additional 1.5% inflation in the US with tariffs at 15%. So expect inflation to rise at least 5% in the US assuming 2% GDP growth.

BTW for my American friends, the 25% electricity cost increase is a nothing burger. Ontario produces too much power due to nuclear not having off ramp capacity.
The US states get electricity for free at negative rates. 0 at 25% is still 0. Shutting it off only affects backup and surge capability.
