I'm heartbroken to have lost my gorgeous boy Alfie very suddenly last night. Without any warning he went into some distress, likely a heart attack or stroke, and passed in under 10 minutes. He was 13 y/o and in great health.

It's only 2 months since his adoptive mum passed and week since Bumble 💔

The atmosphere on Bickerton Hill was pretty eerie yesterday with the persistent fog that had blanketed the region.

It felt good to go there and walk about for a bit to clear my head after being cooper up at home over the Christmas break.

I've seen a comment on a post by Midlands Storm Chaser of a possible tornado in Marbury, Cheshire.

This one appears to be legit. Garbage Facebook-style bait caption though.

I made this trip into a 2 week roadtrip around TX that took in Houston, Austin, Dallas-Ft Worth, San Antonio and SPI.

Definitely a trip worth making, even if the eclipse wasn't a part of it and I look back on it fondly 😁

My view of the end of Totality during the 8th of April 2024 solar eclipse. I was staying with a family friend in Lakeway, TX for this event as I had flown over from the UK to see this.

The forecast was hit and miss throughout the day but we were incredibly lucky to get a break in the clouds 🤩

Wide angle shot of St Mawes, Cornwall that I created with my DJI Mini 2 drone back in May 🤩

She's comfortable here, unless I selfishly move my leg 0.5mm in any direction.

Looks just like my snuggle bug Bridget who was PTS this week 🥹

Have Bridget in your hearts tonight. She was PTS today because she had reached the point where I couldn't, in my right mind, keep her going.

I'm absolutely devastated to have lost her. She was the most snuggly and affectionate cat you could ever meet and her absence is tearing a hole in my heart 💔

Yeah, I visited the volcano twice when I was there. One the second time I went to the bottom of the hill to the edge of the lava field. It was safe to go down there and I obviously never ventured into the lava itself.

I did bring a small chunk back with me though as a keepsake.

I was there in August 2022 as well. I missed the first eruption by a matter of days and promised myself I'd book the first flight I could to see the next one.

I'm pretty glum today after having to leave my elderly cat Bridget at the vets.

She's been refusing food for two days and has been bringing up yellow bile. The vets will be taking a full bloods profile, rehydrating her and performing a scan tomorrow on her abdomen.

Here's a photo I took at Fagradalsfjall in August 2022. I flew out 3 days after getting back from a family holiday in Greece whilst still suffering from the lingering effects of food poisoning (thanks to the hotel breakfast pancakes 🥞 🤢)

Totally worth it though 🌋
