Do colonials not understand that British lawyers and scholars destroyed the claims made by Jefferson in the declaration of independence?

Or do primary schools not tell that part of the story?

Are you familiar with the story of, let's say, how the u.s. took control of the Hawaiian and Philippine Islands?

That ship sailed long ago.

Are colonials that ignorant about their country's history?

"imitating tyrant King George III"

It's been 250 years.

Haven't colonials had enough time to understand that King George III was in no way a tyrant?

Those western lands were, of course, inhabited by the indigenous people of North America.

Colonials not only didn't want to pay their fair share of taxes, they constantly invaded lands agreed upon by treaty as belonging to the Natives.

How many battles did Jefferson, Franklin, and Adams fight in?

Neither John, nor Samuel Adams fired so much as a single shot, that I am aware of.

They were content to let other men do the bloody work.
January 14, 2026 at 4:48 PM
How so?

It was the colonials who didn't want to help pay for the cost of the war the Virginian George Washington caused.

Your timeline is off kilter.

The American colonials were still in rebellion in 1781.

They didn't become "free and independent states" until 1783.

Ah, yes, the slave owning "general" who was angered at the King about the Proclamation of 1763 interfering with his shady land deals in the Northwest territories.

The "Boston tea party" created an environmental disaster.

And "patriots" most certainly terrorised those loyal to the King.

Are there really people deluded enough to believe that George III was a "tyrant".

Even John Adams admitted that wasn't true.

"much-reviled George III"

Colonials in America aren't very well read when it comes to real history, are they?
January 12, 2026 at 3:34 AM
Are you aware that British lawyers and scholars at the time destroyed Jefferson's list of "grievances" in the declaration of independence?

Or do primary schools in the colonies leave out important facts like that?
January 12, 2026 at 3:31 AM
What nonsense is this?

New York erected a statue of King George III in August of 1770.

Perhaps, the Massholes themselves were to blame.
January 9, 2026 at 1:04 AM
There were supporters of King George III known as "Loyalists" or "friends of the King" during the American war for independence.

They were a quite large percentage of the population and were quite often terrorised by self-proclaimed "patriots".
January 4, 2026 at 1:26 AM
Your Majesty, what of the 27 "grievances"?

Are the colonials finally about to come to their senses on the eve of 250 years since the "declaration of Independence"?

Your Majesty, Rick Atkinson, one of the historians used in the series straight up tells the colonials that you *were* not a tyrant.
November 18, 2025 at 2:23 PM
Rick Atkinson telling the truth about George III, he was no tyrant, despite the propaganda so called "patriots" may have spread about him.

Han shot first.

Everyone knows this.

Didn't Samuel Adams have a slave girl in his household?
November 17, 2025 at 9:16 PM
Wait, didn't Paul Revere steal the idea for the woodcut of the "Boston Massacre"?
November 17, 2025 at 9:09 PM
Imagine that, Americans not wanting to pay their "fair share" of taxes.
