A is for Atacama in Chile.  I still haven't made it past the first 3 letters, if you include Chile now. 

This was an amazing trip where we saw some pretty fantastical scenery.  Parts looked like Mars!  Barren and inhospitable, the Atacama is the driest desert on Earth.

The man lying down is sheikdinh his eyes against the bright desert sunlight. The rocks are worn smooth with no rough edges. In the distance there's a white salt plain just before a ridge of grey mountains meets a horizon with a crystal blue sky!
