Saw enough of Zirkzee as a 9 to think that won’t be repeated. Amad needs to be RWB as we need some attacking threat from that position. Ugarte in to strengthen the middle (theoretically at least), and Bruno more advanced where he’s more dangerous. I think Maz is better in defence than WB too.

Don’t disagree. But I don’t think it’s any lack of ambition. Isak for example, wouldn’t have been interested in signing for us in the summer. We finished 15th. We can’t attract players that are looking to win things.

Unfortunately players that are actually worth £100m (if any are) would be looking elsewhere. You don’t sign those players when you aren’t in Europe. Get back into Europe, look like a football club again, and we’ll be able to look at A-list players again.

I largely agree. But he’s 20, not 17. If he hasn’t got the confidence now to embrace the opportunity he’s been given, he won’t suddenly find it. It’s too big for him. Every time he’s gets the ball he turns and passes back. He’s a nervous wreck. And he’s an international footballer.

Very good player, but I don’t think he was ever worth that.

I’m not sure spending has been our issue. Spending badly is the issue. They sanctioned £80m on Antony ffs.

He’s not a £100m player, and that’s what it took to get him out of Villa.

In fairness we didn’t have a striker worthy of the name.

The whole world is worried. He can do whatever he wants. Having let him in, you might never get him out again. And if he (and the rest of his cohort) retain control of your country, nobody, globally can feel safe. Whilst historically the US has provided something of a safety net, that’s gone now.

Yep. Something of a disappointment all round. 😁

Mine was pretty much the opposite. People that simply didn’t want to convict clearly guilty people for fear of being wrong, and punishing people that weren’t actually guilty.

I did jury service at 18 and was hugely disconcerted at having to argue the obvious with some very simple fellow jurors.

I mean, everything’s relative. But by ‘normal’ standards, he’s proven to be a massive let down.

In hindsight, I might have exaggerated a bit here. But I’d just woken up prematurely from a really good dream and was bloody annoyed.

Bloody hell. Maybe somewhere at the back of my mind I did remember then, but didn’t know I’d remembered if that makes sense? 😁
