I love #mdzs and the depths of it's story and mysteries and the art here is fantastic. The only gripe i have is the pacing, not for the time jumps but-

Dracula and Lovecraft I'm doing in chunks and The Vampyre i am too but trying to write the dutch translation word for word to study a bit then read bits of the english.
Mdzs is just a great lil dabble of necromancy to add to the mix and just goooddd.

#Beastars was a lot of fun in the end. it continued focusing on the black market, meat consumption & the value of life & companionship. It wraps things up with no full resolutions or solutions: like how life continues on & all of us have room to grow.

I did finish another book last night that I genuinely had a lot of fun with. It's 'The Thorns Remain' by JJA Harwood.
It is very reminiscent of 'Labyrinth' but with darker imagery and lots more nudges to folklore and fae. It was a blast! It deals with grief, depression and the cost of lives well
