Yep. My friend was one of the ones who lost her job after a very long career fighting for our students’ civil rights. Tossed out like she was worthless, when she was doing the most important work.

Agreed. I think the same could be said about life in general. Sometimes it’s nice to live your life to honor who you are and not the opinions of those who know you.

We need to take our lead from psychologists and those in the mental health fields bc they have to learn to do this in their jobs. Focus on what you can control and not what you can’t. It’s the only way.
