Excavations at #SriLanka's second largest mass grave - Chemmani -was suspended today pending budget approval by government. Investigators expect to recieve a decision on the budget proposal at the next court hearing on Sep 18. Total number of bodies unearthed has gone up to 240.

At least six skulls that can be identified as children's were unearthed today from the Chemmani mass grave in northern Sri Lanka that has already yielded 80 bodies including those of four to five year old kids, according to lawyer at the burial site VS Niranjan.

On Friday (11) night Ramasamy Anthonipillai (56) fell by the road & died after police thrust a stick in the wheel of the bike he was riding. 2 policemen confronted by Vavuniya, Koomankulam residents were rescued by Nedunkulam police officers. A policeman's name tag was found at the scene.
