Holiday in Northumberland was blissful ✨

Food, glorious food. Blessed this year. Reaping the rewards of hard work.

Yoga, sound bath and wellness circle on the top of Werneth Low Country Park was bliss this evening. Welcoming in the new moon and finding my grounded place amongst the wind, trees and sky. Best bit? The vibrations of a sound bowl beaten, resting on my stomach while resting in savasana.

Adventure: I ventured from Malham, along the river there and up the cove, then back to the pub despite having a double ear infection last week…

On me holidays in the Yorkshire Dales. I am reminded "There's no such thing as bad weather, only unsuitable clothing."

🤍 “We were amongst the rhododendrons. There was something bewildering, even shocking, about the suddenness of their discovery. The woods had not prepared me for them”.

I have finished ‘Rebecca’ by Daphne du Maurier. It’s filled with dark, gothic drama

🫚 I will be making my own from now on. Big money saver! Not so much work. Plus it’s fun to squeeze through the muslin cloth. #GingerShots #Immunity #kilner

💙 Postcards from my garden. Where I can hear the birds, see the bees pollinate, smell the rain and pick the rainbow chard for dinner that over-wintered. #bliss #sanctuary #garden

Getting out in the sun today for a 6km local walk looping Debdale Park and including the Fallowfield loop. Took a flask of tea and some biscuits wrapped in tin foil. Better than the previously planned drive and £10 car park charge at a NT property, and didn’t have to buy a coffee in a take-out cup.

🌙✨Made something for my garden. To sparkle, catch the sun rays and also remind me of the moon & stars! Kind of made it up as I went along and used what I already had in 🌞 #sculpture #suncatcher #garden #handmade

🍄‍🟫 When everything is a bit much. I spend time looking within. Cooking is a good activity for this- Soaked jelly ear mushrooms in gin & coated in dark chocolate. Hey pesto- with some wild garlic blitzed + extra to freeze. Buds pickled. Soup made with ingredients #foraged from Asda. #mindful #cook

🏳️‍⚧️ An apt, but sad day to have to dust this old piece off I made in 2021. Sending love 💜🏳️‍🌈 #Embroidery #HumanRights #TransRights

🌞 Made some much needed time to connect with nature, forage, explore and listen at our local country park- Reddish Vale. Found Lamium galeobdolon (a type of mint). Jelly ear mushrooms, wild garlic and more. #foraging #photgraphy #foragelife #jellyears

📚 I devoured #WhyWomenGrowBook by #AliceVincent. Wizzed through the epic journey of discovery. On womanhood’s connection to green space and nurturing earth. Heard myself in the words. Eagerly awaiting her next release & onto her podcasts. Beautifully narrated by #FionaHampton #BooksOfBlueSky #readit

Tonight, April’s full moon, the Pink Moon, rises. 🌕🌸

Named by northern Native American tribes for the blooming of pink spring flowers.

The Celts called it the Budding or Seed Moon, while Anglo-Saxons knew it as the Egg Moon, marking the stirrings of new life.

Walking home from work holding hanging basket liners is the sure sign (if I ever needed one) that I’ve become a middle aged suburban gardener. 👨‍🌾 #gardener

It’s so nice to have the little things, when the bigger things in life are stressful. Hold onto the little things 💚
