No one believes in mandates because Labor doesn’t have control of the senate, they will have to negotiate or continue to do nothing.

The Liberals did it with the flick of a switch, welfare to a near reasonable level and removal of mutual obligations at the start of lockdowns and in the face of massive job lossess showing everyone else what welfare recipients face. At this point, Labor just wants to harm welfare recipients.
