Spent a long weekend playing D&D with some wonderful friends. Because I have the too-much gene, and because we were in this beautiful house, I made myself a suit of armour. It would have been rude not to pose it up.

We're living in the future, and the computers aren't afraid to read us to filth. I was expecting some "You procrastinate too much, or, you don't have the courage of your convictions" vagueness, not "Your love of liminal space may stop you from living in the now".

Made another gift for another DM friend. This time a privacy screen. The brief was "art deco with a dragon, and he likes Huxley". It is laser cut bamboo. Lined with felt and edged with gold foil.

For today's standup - I'll be continuing with the work from yesterday. Current blockers: Puff.
Puff the small grey cat is sat on my desk, in front of both my keyboard and monitor. She has a white splotch marking across her nose and chest which she is prominently displaying by sticking her nose in my face while I try and work. Behind Puff is my ultra wide-screen monitor with VSCode and slack and discord open. There is also parts of a messy desk visible, with mugs and water bottles and other detritus scattered around.

Alongside the dice box, I made some glowing inspiration tokens for my regular D&D GMs. They have laser etched guild sigils in acrylic and an LED filament which is powered by a coin battery. @mattgrayy.es and I massively over-engineered a 3D printed battery case/built in switch for the back.
Glittery and glowing "inspiration tokens" they're circular disks which the GM can hand out to allow a player to roll a skill check with advantage. Side on view of the token where you can see the LED filament and the 3D printed layer between two acrylic layers. The back of the circular token, which shows the custom on/off switch and battery compartment. Inside the battery compartment where you can see the contacts and off-centre battery which will turn to make contact with a copper strip.

I made a gift for my D&D GM because we're coming to a finale of a story. It's a dice box with the sigils of the guilds in the world she's created etched on the sides and a moon on the top because her name is Luna. Felt lined with magnets to keep the lid in place and a lil dice tray inside.
