Climax. That movie has the best soundtrack and amazing dancing, but it is so intense and unrelenting in its anxiety and horror. The fact that it’s so grounded and the majority is shot in the style of one continuous shot makes it all that more effective. Brilliant, but a one and done.

Holes and Tuck Everlasting are both fantastic children’s novels and equally great movies. Both good for 9 - 12 year olds.

I love Arceus, but this looks like it’s going to give me a worse headache to play than Scarlet did at launch. Plus locking the wild Pokémon into such tiny wild areas seems like it defeats the purpose.

It broke the cardinal sin of movies: it was boring. You can see what they wanted it to be with Giancarlo’s parts. I honestly feel like the fights with him are the best parts. Those are the grounded spy thriller moments.

The deadpan humor gets me every time. Plus just all the Harry Potter references are hilarious. And yes, as people said, the season 2 theme slaps.

It’s gotten so repetitive. They keep ending a season with do this 1 mission 3+ times. It was novel when they were rare, but now it’s just a slog to end the story.

Heretic was intense, but brilliant. I feel like award season will differ greatly from people’s best of the year lists. They are going to overlook the amazing horror and thrillers that were some of the best movies this year.
