Friends & I would jam home to watch this every night when it first aired. It was a bit strange at first as I had seen Duchovny in “playing god” and “red shoe diaries” prior.. very different vibes but in a good way. Also when I graduated with my comp sci degree, it made my apply for the FBI. No dice.

Would be curious to know if Kraftwerk were inspired by this or know about it or if this was just a parallel interest of analog musician/creators of the times.

Matt Berry’s character in the IT crowd after getting in trouble for sexual harassment. There is a scene later where he is reading a car/sports magazine after turning the page to this tennis player he gets shocked and utters the phrase “Goddamn the electric sex pants.”
