‘It’s my body and I decide who gets to camp in it’ is all the justification that is needed. This is another reason to stay firm on trans rights: we give in to that, and we will keep withdrawing until there is nothing left.

It’s from Travels with Charley, where he journeys through the US with his dog. Good book!

I was shocked earlier this year when I read John Steinbeck’s description of this crowd, and how they relish in their own cruelty and anger and the attention they receive. Not unlike scenes we still see today. 😕

I left Amazon in moral anger this year so I need someone to give me the gory details on ‘sexual socks’. 😂

She’s absolutely right. Women’s rights are not a conservative’s excuse to beat up minorities. Come care for all our rights, all the time, and then we can talk.

If it’s hold back investment and expansion in the fossil industry I support it even more than I already did. Plenty of better alternatives out there.

Typisch extreem rechts, zodra ze resultaten moeten laat zien, lopen ze weg. Ga maar weer lekker op de zijlijn roepen, veilig ver weg van verantwoordlijkheid en moeilijke beslissingen.

It’s not our fault the US can’t meet our quality standards. Try producing better stuff.

And here the rest of us are, broken by impostor syndrome because we slightly hesitated during a meeting, yet these jokes run the most difficult posts in government like it means nothing. Evil wrapped in incompetence with a bow of ignorance.

Congratulations - I suppose I can’t say it’s an inspiring story? 😄 Enjoy the next, post PhD chapter.

Look, if this gives our country economy some well needed breathing space while we sort out deals with the EU and others, I’m not going to spit on it. I doubt Labour are naive to the risks, hence the sudden activity around other deals, but if this saves a few more hostages, go for it.

I know nothing is more fascinating to the world than the feelings of men, but well done to the young women for ignoring dad and taking their own view on things.

This doesn’t count the non stop bum licking from Fox News as ‘media coverage’ then?

He says it’s likely to fail because public opinion is against it, so his solution is to drive public opinion even further away. Oil industry lapdog, good gig if you can get it.

They assume someone else will fix the mess, because that’s what daddy used to do when they were little. They get to pretend to be big gangsters while everyone else does the hard stuff.

I don’t see how that’s an embarrassing position. You can have high ambitions for society but still feel we need to go at a practical pace that allows for compromise and steady progress, instead of revolution. You might disagree with that but it’s not mad or immoral.

Why would a gang member tattoo the evidence of their illegal activities on their fingers, of all places? 🧐

I stopped using Amazon a few months ago and I thought that would be difficult, but it has been surprisingly breezy. Alternatives exist for most things that matter (ie books). Also, things not being ‘one click’ away stops all those unnecessary impulse buys, so that’s even better.

I want that to be true, even though I have doubts. Catholicism Church is generally not on the right side of history with most things.

Also clear confirmation that every book adds value. 0.06% of the revenue per book is a nice place to start negotiating compensation.

You know ethics go down as corporate waffle goes up, and this is through the roof.

You mean now transgender people will receive the empathy and support they need and deserve, in the spaces that are left to them? That won’t happen, these anti trans groups will just move on to the next frontier.
