I love how language has evolved in a way that makes this bit feel like it could've been written yesterday about our current reality

Video rental stores did force me out of my genre comfort zone, simply because my local ones were organized using a system I did not understand but wasn't by genre. But to this day I am a firm radio listener for exactly this reason

(Anyways tl;dr I think some people are just entitled bullies who don't think or care that other people are also people)

I argued with them for maybe 10 minutes, flight attendant telling us it was time to go, before giving up my aisle seat for a window seat she certainly hadn't paid extra for. I think about that a lot as a lesson for myself in drawing a line between niceness & letting people bully me

Once on the last leg of a flight, on a little puddlejumper of a plane, I had paid extra for the privilege of reserving an aisle seat for my long legs.

Today I learned (thanks, NPR) that from 1875 to 1975, there were more than 6,000 commercial shipwrecks on the Great Lakes. The publicity of song led to safety standard changes and there has not been a single commercial wreck since then.

Generative AI, in both form and content, and whether looked on favourably or critically, seems to embody a collective hopelessness about the prospect of human learning and creativity, if not human knowledge altogether. It’s as if climate change had fans.

There's just something so delicious to me about trying to piece together a coherent code of morality from the actions/words of someone who exists purely to leave chaos in their wake & has no code to follow whatsoever

(I'm also very fond of the idea of taking an oath of crown paladin, who swears loyalty to a person or country, & making the code they've sworn to uphold be based on the random actions of the party's chaotic neutral rogue/bard/warlock)

My party doesn't do pc/pc romance, which is the main stumbling block to my dearly beloved "the paladin is married to the rogue" character duo concept

Does Kiss one count? If not, then it was either SOTUS or Love By Chance (I wanna say SOTUS, bc I think Netflix recommended it to me because I'd watched Kiss)
