ahh very good points. I can definitely agree that some ability to negotiate/respond to the choices would have been nice to have

let me elaborate (bc why not). Shepard dying in the end feels right to me. arriving at the same crossroads despite your choices throughout the story also feels right to me; a perfect kind of irony. no matter how well you prepared, the outcome will have downsides. a 100% happy ending just doesn't fit
