Years ago, in the midlands, same thing happened. They wanted 2 quotes but paid out rather than go to court.

Our original cats just decided they wanted to go in the garden one day, now all their descendents do as well.

I guess they're copying the dogs.

Just in time for the holiday season - it's like a modern day Christmas Carol

It was common in working-class areas like the one I was born in, especially those hit by closures, strikes etc.

I remember "poor boxes" for donations at churches, schools, youth clubs etc, and people giving their neighbours "spare" food.

They weren't great, but at least they'd start more times than not. And a Capri was very cool to a 5 year old me.

But young people don't vote Reform, and too many older people will agree with him...

This was twenty years ago, and he was a skinny sort, obvously desperate for a fix rather than this being his stock in trade

Where the hell did you go?

Despite living in and near, some of the "worst" areas of the UK, the closest I've come to being mugged is a half-hearted demand for my iPod outside a South London tube station in the early morning.

He wandered off in confusion when I pointed out it was a Creative Zen...
