I was just reading this article and thought, "are they referring to *the* Tim Kellogg?"

Huzzah, I say! May your influence grow like the mighty oak.

Maybe overly simplistic. Are you suggesting that we ignore the looming Social Security crisis?

Plus, the per patient costs in the US are out of control. How would increasing taxes resolve the cost issue? If CMS just reimburses everybody for everything, the lowest tax bracket will climb to +50%.

So we're just going to borrow more?

The debt crisis is no joke, and even if we went back to pre-pandemic spending levels, there's not enough money to subsidize national healthcare.

I think it was actually a federal program that gave the police military vehicles and equipment.

Completely agree that a true community police force would include crisis counselors and others trained in non-violent conflict resolution.

Not to play devil's advocate, but isn't that a problem with our judiciary?

I know it's a long shot, but I feel like people could self-manage healthcare into a much more affordable format if providers had to be upfront about the costs.

I mean, my vet can do it - why not my doctor or nurse practitioner?

So make the states pay for it?

Medicaid is patchy from state to state, depending on a local willingness to fund it.

I'd rather start by making billing transparent and costs shared in advance. It's the strangest thing to agree to a procedure but have no concept of what it'll cost you.

I'm trying to figure out how you just legislate out the costs in this one. Doctors aren't free and CMS isn't exactly gracious in its reimbursements.

Not to be that guy, but NYC is about the furthest thing from an average American city. I'm pretty sure it's going to be the first and last.

What hurts most is losing the opportunity to invest the money I paid for SS taxes. Close to two hundred grand paid into the system for nothing.

This proposal feels like a slap in the face while retirees with million dollar homes and plush retirement benefits keep collecting their monthly checks.

And honestly, it's a distraction from true legislative solutions. Unless Congress is willing to admit their legislative negligence and make the necessary tax changes, my generation will never see a cent from social security.

So you're a racist Hispanic troll?

First time for everything I suppose.

Are you suggesting I should cork up and just shrug?

Maybe you don't understand what an affiliate is. Cable Fox News != local affiliate. Murdoch isn't managing this.

But then again, you seem to be one of the hyper lefties into the total anarchy thing. Nihilism rules 🤘
