We can’t compete with developing counties, full stop, not even on these tailor type jobs. The average Egyptian makes between $4-8/day. Those jobs aren’t coming back unless tariffs go up by many 100s of percents. Please don’t give the orange one any ideas…

Trump did suggest in his first term that the elderly could be expended (during covid) for the betterment of businesses. I wish this was snarky, but it really was what he suggested.

I think that’s an accurate description of where he was being held. Somewhere he couldn’t get out of alone - perhaps he was bound, but also not secure enough to keep out others. Not a jail cell or other more fortified area.

No idea. I didn’t ask and she didn’t go into detail about where they took him. Obviously no place that was super secure if a group of 5 ordinary citizens could break him out.

This. I spoke w a bartender in Portland who was involved with the protests that summer. One of her friends got taken in. They tracked him down and broke him out. Those were dark days and we’re headed there again with the trump administration.

I had no idea. Norway is a true leader when it comes to electric automobile. Must be really great at reducing pollution.

I live in Houston, a big city right? Looked into buying an electric bmw a few months back, it was insanely fast and fun to drive, but there aren’t many charging stations. It’s a big put off.

The P/E ratio of Tesla is around 120 which is insanely high. Most auto manufacturers are around 4-6. Tesla is stupidly over valued and has a lot further to fall.

That’s because just like Trump simping for Tesla yesterday they’ll get bailed out for carrying the line. It’s the most disgusting series of events I’ve ever witnessed.

It’s the largest funneling of money from the people to the ultra rich the us has ever seen in it’s history. Our democracy is being replaced by oligarchy. Trump will slash the DOE and SS while helping his buddy sell cars.

No one knows where the dip is. I’ve been tempted to buy now, but trumps rhetoric just keeps doubling down on more tariffs and economic pain. Doesn’t feel like the low is anywhere in sight.
