I can't provide any evidence whatsoever of such a statement, but It's a very simple logical inference or even Percolation Theory — the highest node in a financial system directly or indirectly influences the lowest economic levels. Also supply-chain logic: Lots of batteries needs lots of... Cobalt.

His obsession with Mars is just a consequence of the fact that he is the person who managed and still manage to fuc* up our environment the most. He doesn't care about the planet, nor the living organisms that habit it and so, in his mind, colonizing mars is the only solution to save humanity.

The purchase of twitter marked Elon Musk's downfall, I know that ever since it happened — he didn't purchase just a social platform, but rather, the most toxic community there is, it's as if he thought he was purchasing a tech tool to sustain or uplift his power but it came w/ a virus or cancer.
