I buy my winter shoes a bit on the large side because I like to wear one thin sock under one medium sock and still have a small air gap. Shoes that are too tight, even with thick socks, do not insulate well in my experience.

Maybe it is because I don't understand the history, but I don't really get what's "woke" about changing the names of the race, ostensibly because the new sponsors want the change?
