If gun control was just fine with the "original" interpretation of the 2ndA, why did the country have absolutely no federal gun control of any kind until 1934?

Bernie’s plan is the raise the cap on Social Security payments, so those who will likely never get benefits will have to pay for those that will. That’s not how it’s supposed to work.

I didn't say they were mass produced. I said they existed, & the founders knew of them. There were tons of repeating weapons, they were just complex & expensive for the time. The Puckle was just one example. There was also the Girardoni repeating rifle, which could fire 22 rounds w/o reloading.

That’s because how many were made isn’t relevant. The point is that they existed, and hence the claim the founders somehow couldn’t fathom repeating arms is unequivocally false. There were literally NO federal laws restricting gun ownership of any kind whatsoever until the mid 20th century.
