hey @wsdot.wa.gov t @passes.wsdot.wa.gov - you say on Twitter that Stevens Pass is closed but the pass reports on your website do not reflect that status (wsdot.com/travel/real-...: "Traction tires advised...")

Musk wants to get to Mars and started SpaceX 23 years ago…

He doesn’t have to personally run the party, he just has to find someone he trusts and give them lots of money for a long time. If they have any early success, more Silicon Valley money or Koch money may pour in.

Following in the great tradition of Utah Phillips’ Sloth and Indolence Party.

Cap Hill is 8 stories in a zone near the station, and we’ll see some of that go up soon, I think, but that’s nothing like the UW with its 20+ story towers…
Now about the lame redevelopment of Northgate…

I learned relatively recently that a chipotle is a dried/smoked jalapeño

If you care enough to block cookies, I would strongly recommend also getting uBlock Origin to block tracker JavaScript (if that still works on Chrome).

Doesn’t matter, they behave as if building AGI.

But people are over-focusing on the “AGI” detail here.

In general, everyone wants their chat bot to be as good as possible, and you can achieve that with software hacks or more hardware OR BOTH and so everyone will keep doing both to compete.

But the big players think they are building AGI so they will follow this reasoning.

In the race towards AGI, isn’t more considered better? It seems to me the leading AI labs are going to adopt these DeepSeek hacks *and* throw tons of H100s at their next model to see how far they can get, no? No reduction of demand, you just get more bang for your buck.

Surely the actual inauguration ceremony is a government function and paid for by our taxes?
I thought most of the money raised was for the private parties, the Inauguration Balls.

Hey, it’s far better than getting one of those active bed cooling/heating systems.

After reading, it’s not clear to me what’s so compelling. Hyundai/Kia and Audi/Porsche have 800V charging and everyone has voice commands. Very large displays, meh, I’m looking at the road. Self-closing doors, then? Rotating 3D model of my car?
I suspect the real threat is in the prices.
