NGC6188, an emission nebula in the constellation Ara. I've 6188 on many occasions - best result so far. Pretty thrilled.

Colour processing by me. No, it doesn't actually look this bright.

I took the re-built ZEIT Desktop Sequencer along to our regular EMOM at The Ship Isis in Sunderland last night for no other reason than I wanted to show it off a bit. Not so much a sales pitch, more of a casual discussion with friends. The results were quite interesting / inspiring.

Tried using Bandcamp's redemption codes and... Dismayed to discover that I can't even give this stuff away for free. A little soul destroying, frankly.

Hints and tips welcome.

Pretty bad when you have your stuff stuck in your head for three days solid... Go away, dam you! :)

Sunday : Mostly been working on recreating a track from 1993, The Reality Engine, which should be the last track on the new Uranium Saints album. Of course, the wretched Cubase file won't load so I have to do the whole thing over by hand, which is rather good for practicing one's musical ear.

A Polaroid from a magazine article "So you want to build a home studio", circa 1992. I think the magazine was Future Music. Can't remember. Not my favourite epoch. Memories largely wiped.

Sunday morning metalwork - a replacement display/encoder support plate for ZEIT. Seems to work as intended. I plan on using this machine at the next EMOM so it needed sorting urgently.

I've uploaded our set from Thursday's EMOM gig at the Star and Shadow, Newcastle. It's officially only available to our followers on Bandcamp but here's the link for our friends on BlueSky as a means of thumbing our noses at Zuck and his lackeys.

Enjoy.

A superb gig at Star and Shadow Cinema last night. A lot of quality on show. I enjoyed myself enormously and, by all accounts, so did the audience. A real dance party going on at the back of the hall and I don't ever remember getting such a loud and positive response in thirty odd years of gigging.

Facebook removed this cartoon from 2010 and issued a warning because said image violated their terms and conditions even though they recommended that I share this 'important memory'. Go figure.

Last night's Secret Gig in Newcastle was a try-out, to see if I could plan, rehearse & perform a short set, & still enjoy the process. A few cock-ups, a few software problems and a few mistakes but definitely fun. Will do it again soon! :)
