When a situation is blocked, straight thinking must be superseded by 'thinking aside’—the search for a new auxiliary matrix—the temporary relinquishing of rational controls in favour of the codes that govern the underground games of the mind.
It's usually the pivotal moments like these in history when such gifted individuals appear. The potential is inherent in anyone to be that individual who fights for everyones survival. Anyone can tip the balance in a moment of bravery.

Maybe your aim being simply ‘to win’ is clouding your perception about the actual reality of what you’re ‘arguing’ about. Aim to instead first understand, then get to a place where you both walk away feeling good about the interaction. If you insist to win, you insist that others must lose.
