I was curious how many games are needed to reach 2000 at rapid time control (normally I only play blitz & bullet at chesscom) 🤫

Starting level 1200 & the goal (destination) 2000
Platform: chesscom. Tested 2 days ago

It took 22 games, however I estimated it would be 30-35 🤔🧠

There are some players which love playing dynamic chess - they get into time trouble due to overwhelming energy & time investement

If you want to see how @Imashleedeanna is going to work hard to expand her ideas & improve skills, you can consider watching our training session 🤔

In case anybody would like to know WHY I do not use the LLMs (AI tools like chatGPT), this is the best & easiest answer I can provide 😵

BTW. I apologize all the hyped fans of this revolutionary technology that can "do everything you need & makes your life a way more efficient" 😎😆🤡

There is a pretty nice mess in tactics. If you do not believe try to list all the most important tactical themes (some call these motifs) & you will see what I mean.

Anyway I am preparing next chess video & this is my list 4 players below 2K. Let me know Which tactics I missed! 🤔💯🎯

Soon we start next training session - performed at Dotachess Twitch channel 😊🧠💪

If you wonder how I teach & help beginners to rise their chess to to the next level... just pop up at the stream & bring some popcorn if you like!

The session plan is stay alive up to 4 hours!

Many times my chess students are clueless how do they know if the endgame position is already lost or they can survive 🧠

I thought and create such a short list: 9 practical & 4 technical rules. I am wondering which points you know & which ones are new to you

Is that helpful? 🤔

Probably some of you may know Matt Henningsen - he is the NFL guy who is chess passionate at the same time! 🔥💯🏈

We start next training session - performed at Matt's Twitch channel. I am in the background trying to use chesscom platform to help Matt's chess to get to the next level! 😲

The key positions when the King is driven from the bad corner into the right one (Bishop colour)

The closer to the right corner the less defensive lines you need to know

The weaker the defence the easier & faster you can reach the goal (mate) as you need to use only 2 ideas!

What about that guys?

Recently I noticed the missing K+N types that can restrict the King! Even if black has infinite number of moves they cannot break the cage! (box)

For now I believe the positions & calculations are (should be) correct: Can @meermaurits.bsky.social confirm? 🤔

7 TYPES: 124+96 = 220 (options) 🔥🎯😵
March 14, 2025 at 11:31 AM
When we understand the concept of cutting off the King from the box by one piece, then everything starts to seem a way easier

Recently @meermaurits.bsky.social mentioned that I should create & share the positions of the box by KBN. Probably he may have the access to my computer, right?! 😆
March 12, 2025 at 2:54 PM
Recently I worked out the better algorithm to mate KBN. In the meantime I discovered something that struck my mind!

Did you know all types and configurations K+B or K+N can restrict the defending King? Even if black has infinite number of moves they cannot break the cage! (box)

Did you know that?
March 11, 2025 at 11:10 PM
I created the positions (examples) to explain these concepts in a simple way.

If everything goes find I will record the video & share it soon.

Position 07 & 09 can make you pretty surprised about best moves for white! These are tricky ones!

Highlighted numbers = Black to move

Try to solve these

Many times I was wondering what would be the concepts in the middlegame (& endgame) I could apply & teach my students

After some time I decided to create my own list. I like it because it shows the dynamic vs positional concepts & it is pretty easy to grasp these ideas, right?

What about that? ☺️

What do you think about this capture simple project?

I would like to create a few sets of basic captures positions & build a microsystem to make it a way more efficient. It could be a very helpful aid 4 majority of beginners.

Would you like to test positions at lichess?

Share you lichess nickname

Club players sometimes think they need to calculate everything at each move up to 10-12 moves deep. They forget about this type of chess estimation

I guess now you can blame me whenever you lose games to simple tactics. This picture can shatter your unrealistic view of chess

I apologize for that!

After thousands of repetitions I finally cracked my 4-years record. Even thought I beat it just a bit (from 61 to 62), I believe when reaching 45 score one needs to know what to calculate & how to do it efficiently

Grouping of chunks can help solving it more efficient: this way it works every time!

The moment GM Dominguez (2699 ELO rapid) watched all the rook endgames you created at your YouTube channel!

I designed the Rook endgame series as the Fundamental Endgame series, but it seems like even GMs benefit from this, right? 😆

What can I say? Let them help winning games! 💯🧠👽👏

Can you tell me what endgames should I study to learn more after the Pandolfini Endgame Course? (or a bit extended version - Endgame Workshop)

This is the next one: 365 Endgames Lessons for Novices - Thinkers’ Chess Academy - vol.4

This is a nice set of endgames to learn! 👏🧠

I am working on the visualization & calculation topics.

One of the best tools to practice these skills - I thought it would be implemented either the wrong or standard way, but I was suprised it is a very good & correct approach!

Check this out and let me know if you like it! 🔥 💯 🧐

The work in progress...

VISCALEVA MODEL 4 PLAYERS RATED 800-1400 💪

This will be expanded as it needs to take into account more elements. However first drafts has been done 👽

After I create the model with simple examples (puzzles) I will start recording YouTube videos 💯

Stay tuned! 🔥

Probably a lot of you may think - HOW such simple stuff can help solving chess puzzles... and if it really helps?! 👽💯

I have tested thousands of lichess (Puzzle Storm) puzzles & every time I create something missing... it works! It is not a drastic, but slow & visible improvement! ☺️😲
December 3, 2024 at 12:31 PM
Creating this type of stuff is a lot of work to me. However I have no choice as nobody creates that and chatGPT is too stupid to do that correctly

Therefore we need to ask TT to do it & rely on him! Take notice it is just an inspiration not the holy chess truth! 😊😆🤫

This is how the mess looks like

When I teach the necessary checkmate patterns, the students are asked to understand the mate positions, recognize & memorize these.

Recently when I was checking out the checkmate patterns I notice some of the patters are missing. That's why I created these & share now here.

🚫 = mate not possible

Middlegame is seen/known as the most complex part of the game

As long my students do not ask me about the structure I pretend it is not that hard to understand

However sometimes they ask me to SHOW how I see the middlegame - what kind of structure it is & it looks like! 😆🤔

What about that? Any Q?
