a map showing huge impact to funding in Cleveland. it's the darkest shade of red on the map, which on the legend is $9 million or something, but the impact is described as $129 million. $129 million! We're home to world class health care.

tonight's Midwest momma pantry dish is risotto. a couple of fellas followed me with my plate.
Homemade risotto with sweet onions and red and green bell peppers. Added Parmesan cheese and fresh parsley. Good risotto takes time and it's so worth it... a great way use up leftovers (and take advantage of a stocked pantry). The risotto is on a turquoise dinner plate alongside a pan-seared salmon with lemon pan sauce. Two dogs-- one black and white, the other grey and white-- stare up longingly at the plate while they sit on a hardwood floor.

if you don't have a Midwest momma in your life, you need one. we can make a killer casserole (it's not hot dish here in the OH-IO) using only pantry and stock ingredients.
