We are at Aki-ban Con, in Lake Stevens!

Lots of open gaming space and a game library available as well!

Agreed. These 4 were phones that I or friends had throughout the 80s.

Gotta love the funky designs. 😍

We also played Above & Below: Haunted by Red Raven Games.

This is essentially Above & Below 2.0, with a few new elements added in.

The changes are excellent, fixing some issues the group had with the original. Highly recommended.

We then played The Others: 7 Sins by CMON.

I *really* love this game & theme. A top 10 for sure.

I played the sin of Gluttony, gaining bonuses each time the players did.

It was a very close game, but I ultimately stopped the Faith players, crushing their attempts at victory. 😈

Some games played at PAX West.

Staufer Dynasty. An older Z-Man title that I randomly found at a game store.

It’s territory control game with perfect information available to all players…requiring clever strategy to ultimately win out.

Everyone really enjoyed it and had fun playing!

They put out an expansion not too long ago as well.

Hey @613mandi.bsky.social

New solo RPG available today! A horror themed “hex crawl” titled “Blueberry Wine”.

Perhaps have some blueberry wine while you play? 😉

My most recent.
Eleventh Beast has you hunting monsters in 1746 England.

The World We Left Behind has you exploring and learning about the flora, fauna, & citizens of a dead world.

Menagerie of the Void has you as the zookeeper of an alien zoo, whose creators have long since died off.

Godspark has players adventuring through a “graveyard of gods”.

Six Crowns In Hell has you trying to slay the demons of hell to take up reign as lord of hell yourself.

Rosethorn Keep has a cool 90s computer graphics & text adventure games visual style.

Carved By The Garden captured me by name and it being a unique horror-theme.

In Reap you’re a necromancer reaping the souls of hellish monsters.

Home is a Mech v Kaiju map making game…and who doesn’t love Kaiju? ;)

Be Like A Crow is a follow up to Be Like a Cat (which I don’t have). The creator also made d666 a “solo hell-building game”.

Notorious is a sci-fi game where you play a bounty hunter. Playable as one-off sessions or a series.

Both of these caught my eye, because of the themes and styles.

Necronmancer Heretic and Fox Curio’s Floating Bookshop.

Okay…in coming!

This is what started it off for me.

Thousands Year Old Vampire. A very interesting journaling game (pic isn’t mine).

New KS delivery! Arkham Asylum the deck-building game by @cryptozoic.bsky.social along with Dark Nights Rising and Hush.

I’ve always like the ease of play this game has, which lets you focus on your strategic options each turn.

And being the baddies is *always* fun. 😈

I’ve also loved Tangerine’s music as well, so I’m sure I’m a bit biased.

Having watched both, it’s one of the few times I felt like the studio got it right.

We recently played Emberleaf by @cityofgameshq.bsky.social

It’s incredibly easy to play. Play a card or slide all the cards in your tableau.

The DEPTH of what you choose to do, however, is significantly deep. It’s a game that rewards clever play & strategic planning.

Very excellent & fun time!

My faves. ;)

I got to play an early copy of the new @stonemaiergames.com game, Vantage.

No spoilers, but wow.

It was incredibly fun, very unexpected, and there is a TON of replayability.

We were all talking about it for days after playing.

Plan for a full day, though, for your first play. It was looooong.

Love the way they set up characters you can encounter. The “wise fool” was hilaious.

I managed a 2nd place, as we played competitive (though co-op is an option).

Played Tales of the Arthurian Nights by @wizkids.bsky.social

This is a story-driven game based off the Arabian Nights system…but WAY less random. You can actually strategize and make competent decisions in the stories.

Soooo much variability and game play too!

I reads this as “Literal Commander” at first, and thought he had some issue like Drax.

I bought a copy from my local game store, because I wanted this AWESOME cover (which isn’t available online, as far as I’m aware).

Also, the book is rich in dragon history and art, pulling up classic images from the super old TSR days!

Great book!
