I just started reading The Chronicles of Amber series by Roger Zelazny. At the start of the books it took some getting used to, but I am enjoying it so far. Has anyone else read these books?

I noticed while reading The Hobbit on my e-reader that the name of the old raven is spelled Róac and not Roäc like it is in the other (Dutch) version that I have, and also like most sites that I checked. Does anyone know why it is different?
