I sure hope the economic blackout will be massive. I've gave up Walmart, Home Depot, Target and Amazon for Lent and haven't looked back. Added them to my list along with Hobby Lobby, Chik-fil-a, and Papa Johns. I've added most restaurant chains to the list and am honoring the Starbucks strike.

Chains like Rite Aid, Walgreens, and CVS drove the independents out of business. Now Rite Aid is gone, and with Walgreens soon to follow, many smaller towns will be left without pharmacies. Once again, options for consumers will be limited and prices will rise in the absence of competition.

They both are useful in a fight that requires all hands on deck. Different approaches reach different constituencies. That's a good thing. Make room for positions to evolve.

Thanks for sharing. I discovered his work in high school, at the public library. I sang several of his more irreverent tunes (I Hold Your Hand in Mine, An Irish Ballad) at campfires as a camp counselor! I saw a clip from an English chat show in which Daniel Radcliffe performs the Periodic Table.

Hakeem could hardly be considered "geriatric." Is it possible that other characteristics matter as much as or even more than age alone? True, many older incumbents are ineffective, but ageism is not an attractive look for an party that espouses inclusivity. Maybe it's more about the talking money.

Although not specifically in this case (nor in Good Night, Oscar), but I often see smoking on stage and in film to be a crutch for lesser actors who need them to give their character "edge." Even when it may be appropriate, I find it distracting and annoying. The Outsiders, comes to mind.

I would want to hear:1. Acknowledgement of his personal contribution to the rise of Trumpism 2. Unequivocal support for reproductive choice 3. Support for single-payer healthcare and negotiation of drug prices 4. Unequivocal support of gender affirming care for children and adults. That's evolution.
