Annoying bsky behavior: tagging people and posting links counts with the full length of the tagged handle / linked URL, instead of a fixed (short) length. Short handles are cool anyway, but for links this means people will use (shitty) URL shorteners which isn't cool from a security pov...

And this is totally not bcs I just saw @telathion.bsky.social and @scareplane.bsky.social 'tweet' about this and also totally not because I'm looking forward to them almost certainly cosplaying characters from that game next(?) year :D

I really like the idea that you can use your own domain (or a subdomain) as your handle here, but at the same time I'd love to have an option to also keep using the default `.bsky.social` handle as an alias (since it'd be super confusing of someone else registered that)
